DJ Catnip

DJ Catnip cut their teeth DJing at the Queen Margaret Union before setting up Danse Macabre.
Since then, they have played at Stereo, Nice ‘n’ Sleazy, Glasgow School of Art, ABC, The Classic Grand, Ivory Black’s, Bloc+, and various one-off events around Glasgow and Edinburgh.

They like real ales, cider & black, rum & diet coke, post-punk tracks with too much reverb, socialist new wave bands, and vocal italo tracks with huge pad synths. They do not like Morrissey.

Undead, undead, undead!

Good afternoon!
As you may have noticed, the website is a little bit different. A few things may still be shuffling around, but it should hopefully be a little bit easier on the eye now. We’ll be listing all our clubnights here, along with various other events we’re either helping out at, or just plain enjoy.

Hope to see you all at Bedlam tonight, and DM next month!

Gary Numan Aftershow

Gary Numan aftershow on Wednesday 23rd May! FREE entry with gig ticket stub.
The usual 80s/90s pop/rock fayre, accompanied by a healthy dose of synthpop, post-punk guitars, and electronica.

Playing a mix of 80s/90s tunes, DJs Catnip and Pasta bring a poptastic flavour to Wednesdays. How do they do that? They fuel up on cider, and spin four hours of 80s/90s alternative pop/rock hits. From Prodigy and Depeche Mode to Oasis, Carter USM and the Manic Street Preachers

March Violets

Our friends, the March Violets, will be coming back for another round at The Classic Grand, with support from the fantastic Dead Eyes Opened. After the gig, join DJs Barry and Catnip for an all-out gothstravaganza of an aftershow, the suitably-titled After Hours!

Date: Sunday 10th June
Tickets: £15
Doors: 7pm

Death of Disco Royalty

This month, we are joined by DJ Tailz (Cryotec, Damnation, Absolution) for an extravaganza of all things gothic, with a fine helping of disco beats, and silly 80s pop.
We still won’t play The Smiths, but we will be playing numerous tracks in memoriam of our fallen brethren. RIP Donna Summer and Robin Gibb.

Because you were all so lovely last month, entry is FREE again.
